About Maria: (by @averiesmiles) Much like Sonic, she has a strong sense of justice and is always eager to bust up Eggman’s badniks any day! Unfortunately her other dad Shadow isn’t very approving of this, especially since she will often take Tails’ son Techie the fox with her on her adventures and potentially put them both in danger. While she may not have super-speed like her fathers, or have super-intelligence like Techie, she is the heart of all the other fankids (in my au) and holds them together like glue.
About Vel: (by @sonicnewschannel) Vel is a professional Extreme Gear Racer! She loved the feeling of wind in her hair as a kid whenever her dad (Sonic) would run around with her, but she wasn't born with super speed, so instead she turned to Extreme Gear. Now, she's a professional, and a staple in the community! Her papa (Antoine) gets concerned easily about her, but he knows she can take care of herself. She doesn't handle surprises well, and likes to plan for any situation she can think of!

About Maria: (by @6larosie9) Maria was a lab baby made by Eggman as a way to collect and protect the chaos emeralds. He used Sonic and Shadow's DNA so she would be extremely strong and fast, and a very difficult challenge to anyone who tries to get in her way. Maria, Sonic, and Shadow are unaware they're related for the time being. She's a very determined hedgehog, competitive and cocky, and quite loyal to anyone she deems friends or family. Also, she secretly adores the outdoors and nature, but she'd never tell Eggman that.
About Mimi: (by @zeawesomeness) Mimi was born from a cluster of Black Arm eggs, sadly most of these eggs died, and due to Mimi having mostly alien DNA led to her being born in very poor health. She wasn't supposed to live past being a baby, which led to Shadow naming her Maria, but against all odds, she lived. She's very frail and can't handle physical exertion without dire consequences, making her very isolated, but the final blow to any possibility of a social life or even having friends for her is being a "freak with a third eye and tail." She has horrible anxiety due to being ostracized and things only seem to get worse when the ghost of her supposedly evil grandpa, "Black Doom", comes to haunt her into being evil. Only issue is he can't get her to stop crying long enough to listen to his evil monologue...

@/emthimofnight's Stellar and the fankid showdown motivated me to start making sonic fankids. I decided to make a sonadow fankid first because it was one of my all-time favorite ships and thus Maria was born! Also after seeing a bunch of fankids have some kind of superpower I thought it would be different to make a fankid that has no powers whatsoever and is basically just. a normal person.
