Just watched the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie. This scene was stuck in my head all day so I decided to animate it in Signalis. (No spoilers dw)

Tho it would never happen, have u ever doodled how Scarlet Lady would look like if she had got a upgrade form? If yes, could u show us? (No pressure if not)

Surprisingly, you're not the first person to ask me about this lol. At first I wanted to put my foot down that you only get these power-upgrades if you're using the Miraculous for Good (maybe you'd even lose a power if you start using it for Evil). As is, the Miraculouses don't have any backlash if you misuse them UNLESS YOU'RE A CHILD, which I hate.

But let's be real, Shadowmoth proved that's bullshit with his I-Can-Do-Anything-Better-Than-You-Can Mega Akuma that can instantly defeat Ladybug's Lucky Charm upgrade, so sure. Even Chloe can get an upgrade if she just FEELS hard enough.

I did NOT feel like coloring Beast because the only picture I had of her was. Not good. Buuuuut I’m having fun so I may very well continue to color the Princesses

A few teeny notes:

My original plan for Witch and Thorn was to make Witch’s hair bright red and Thorn’s hair a bit browner, but I put in darker streaks for Witch’s hair and suddenly I had the idea to do something similar- but, of course, different- for Thorn. I really enjoy how that turned out, that and their dresses

Apotheosis is probably going to be the only instance where the Long Quiet isn’t black and white, because, yknow, radiant light and shit. I was aiming for a sort of water color-y vibe with her… not sure if I hit the mark but I like the result anyway!

I kind of knew I’d give Wild a bunch of warm, gentle pinks and browns, but I wanted to keep the exposed insides mostly untouched (although looking back, I could’ve also made the insides brown to match her arms). I think she turned out beautiful, my wonderful Princess with a disorder <3

I think this line more than any other underlines why the Thorn route strikes a chord with so many people. It's so much more than just the chance for a smooch. It's the one route where the balance of power is more or less evenly split (you have freedom of movement, she has the knife), and both of you have the option to choose trust and growth.

Even in the Spectre route, which is more about atonement and forgiveness than trust, the power balance is decidedly skewed in the princess' favor. When you meet Thorn, the music and dialogue gives the feeling that both of you are equally exhausted from fighting each other, and both want to try to make things better, but neither is sure whether it's possible.

To me at least, the Thorn is special because it feels the most hopeful of all the routes. With patience and trust and understanding, things actually do get better for both of you.
