hoo boy this was a doozy. a silly sketch of wanting to draw something easy and mindless turned into a non-literal self-portrait of sorts with me trying to incorporate specific aspects of things i enjoy drawing and directions i want my style to go into one piece with SIX DAYS worth of lineart and three days of colouring to stand behind it. i think i created something i can be proud of, though.

hoo boy, this attack was a doozy. i've actually attempted doing it for the last three seasons straight, but i could never manage to finish it by the time artfight ended. this year, i decided to scrap my old version of the piece and just start completely fresh - and ended up putting roughly 36 HOURS into it. suffice to say this is probably the most insane attack i've ever done (and probably will ever do for a while lmao…) but it's real!!

and for those curious, the alternian text on the status bars read (from top to bottom) "brains/brawn/health"!

overly complicated designs are very much not my jam but i tried to incorporate as many character design no-no's as i could. the colours were fun :D
