He missed Earth the same way he loved Lance: he never wasted a breath making waves about it at the surface; he packed his emotions into the deep ocean currents. If anyone where to stick their head underwater they’d be swept away by the force of those feelings, but people seldom did.

Keith has missed Earth for three years. But, when the fight breaks out and he sees the destruction from the skies of his own planet, he realises he’d have stayed away for an eternity if it meant avoiding this battle.
