Prompt: Dreams
Prompt: Dreams
The pack is gathered outside of their dens, finishing the remains of their meal under the night sky. The air is cooling; a welcome relief from the day’s heat.
“Aren’t the stars beautiful?” Remus comments wonderingly, his head tilted straight up as he gazes at them. The sky reflects in his eyes, giving anyone looking an image into his soul.
Sal is lying on his back, Clove beside him. His paws reach out to the air as he speaks. “My mother used to tell me that stars are our dreams stranded in the sky. A shooting star occurs when we fulfill a dream. It rockets out of the sky, free at last.”
Egret tucks a wandering pup back beside her white belly. She licks his head fondly, before turning her gaze to Marisol. “Marisol, do you have any dreams?”
The question causes heads to turn in the beta’s direction. Nobody knows very much about Marisol. The red wolf looks surprised, a change from her usual scowl. It returns quickly, however, and she snorts. “Of course I have dreams. I have them every night. Who doesn’t?”
Remus, who is sitting beside her, laughs. He looks at her, his eyes still filled with all those stars. “He means dreams as in aspirations. Like how my dream was to start my own pack.”
“O-oh,” she stammers. She is only embarrassed for a moment before regaining her composure. “Well, yes, I suppose I do have dreams. Or, rather, I did.” Marisol looks up at the sky, deep in thought.
“Right now, I’m happy with my life. For the first time, I have real family I can count on.”
The other wolves exchange a quick glance, the same thought reverberating through their heads. For the first time?
Marisol continues. “Before, when I was a lone wolf, I wasn’t in a very good place.” She drops her head slightly, staring at the ground. “And before even that, my birth pack was a mess. So yes, I had dreams.” The female glances at Remus before fixing her gaze on Sal.
“But a shooting star fell the night I met Remus. All of my stars began falling, and they still are now, every night. Because every day I spend with this pack, my dreams come true.”

Ok so consider: Wolvember. Basically Inktober but it’s for writing and it’s in November and it’s wolvden themed.
I need y’all’s help for ideas though. Just reply with some prompts (one word or multiple)! I really want to expand my lore so I figured this would be a great idea to help myself and others :)
Did I indulge and buy myself a puppy? yes, yes I did.
Meet Jupiter! She’s pale base (tier 2), with cream Inuit unders in slot 5. As for lore: She was found wandering in the territory by Clove. The chaser immediately bonded with the pup and took her back. Clove became Jupiter’s adopted mother, with Sal, Clove’s best friend and suspected soon-to-be mate, becoming her father.
