I’m not saying anything at all about Pentatonix judgement-wise, because I adore their music with all of me and it shapes my life on a daily basis, but I hope they do more songs soon that actually put across a meaningful message. We have Light In the Hallway and a couple of songs from Vol. 1, 2, and 3, but most of the originals they do and especially the covers are all love-themed, just like most pop music these days. I’m not saying that I don’t like their music, but PTX means a lot to me as people, and it can be difficult to try and explain the impact they have on me to someone who only listens to their music and doesn’t pay attention to the actual people. I just want to hear more music that has actual, meaningful messages, ya know?
