tried to unsubtly rec taz b to a friend yesterday and i was like "okay. i'll start this with the classic: YOU'RE NAMING YOUR GODDAMN WIZARD TAAKO??? bit" and explained it to her with so much enthusiasm in my voice and she was just. totally stonefaced. found it completely unfunny. random humor. too goofy. not serious enough to be entertaining. so i wrote off my losses and told her about the Work Accent bit. that's a GOOD one. everyone loves the inherent humor of a dm just Giving Up. to be fair it was a little soured by her thinking i was saying Travis and not Kravitz ("like the guy who was so bad at Among Us he had to apologize?") but i don't think it would've landed regardless. i'm at my wits end. i'm doing a disservice to the only dnd podcast to ever really have an emotional effect on me. i try to go for one last pitch. i psych myself up. instead of anything actually cool or funny, i end up mumbling out that the podcast ends on episode 69. i feel like boo boo the fool. she JUST said she didn't like Goof Goof Dildo humor. i've fucked it up. i've RUINED this for h No. "huh," she says.
