“didn't feel like you meant it!” ashley says, throwing another pillow, frustratingly aware it will phase right through his target. he knew they should probably talk it over, but he mostly just wanted to be left alone. just thinking of the other watching him in those moments made his face warm up. “then you should've knocked or something! and i can't believe you saw it and didn't just leave...” he reaches for the next pillow, but stops before throwing it; his brain was a bit busier with something more important. how long was he there before i noticed?, he thinks but decides not to ask. he'd have no way of knowing if it was true, anyway.

“no, he's not my boyfriend, okay? he- he said he doesn't like labels, so we're just friends who- well, sometimes- sometimes do that.” which didn't sit right with ash, having sex on a constant basis with him but not being able to call him a boyfriend. but the prospect of not having either a bf nor a fuckbuddy was just as bad, so he didn't bring it up. “and that's not the point - you violated my privacy, that's the problem. if you wanted to watch it so bad, you could've just asked!” he looks out his bedroom window, pillow still in hand as the implications of what he just said slowly and awkwardly dawning on him. “um - yeah, yes he did. he does, he's good in bed!” he lies through his teeth, defending the honor and sexual skills of his not-boyfriend, as toothy kisses and clumsy thrusts he's grown accustomed to flashes before his eyes.

"Oh, come on! I said I was sorry!" Charles rolled his eyes and bent down to pick up the pillow that flew across the room and went through him. It seemed as though he was able to decide when he could reach and interact with things from the physical world. "How was I supposed to know you weren't alone in your room when I walked in?" He shrugged his shoulders, weighing the object within his hands then threw it back to the other side. "Besides, it's not like your boyfriend could see me. He's not special like you." The truth, of course, was that Charles walked in on them in the middle of it on purpose. He was getting kind of jealous and, also, wanted to catch a peek at all the raunchy action happening. "Are you gonna stay mad at me all day? And honestly, he didn't look like he knew what he was doing, anyway."
