Warnings: makima is a weirdo, not all of the headcanons are nice ones :( but mostly positive :3

Synopsis: What dating the chainsaw man cast is like!

Denji:

WOOF WOOF WOOF

He’s a bit clingy I think, if you work in public safety with him he might get a little annoyed if he sees Aki or really any other guy spending time with you. But not a creepy insane people jealousy just a little bit. It’s cute.

Denji tries to have dates with you somewhere that isn’t his apartment (unless he knows Aki and Power won’t be home). He’s worried those two will somehow embarrass him in front of you. Especially Power.

He loves to hold your hand everytime you two are together. Walking somewhere, just sitting down, sleeping, etc. He gets all giddy and excited just at being able to touch your hand.

LOVES GIVING U HIS JACKET like the boys in the romance movies do. Buys you flowers whenever he can (or yanks some out of a bush). Most of his knowledge on dating is from romance movies and whatever Himeno and Makima tell him. Denji tried to ask Kishibe for advice once and just got cryptic sex advice.

He’s… kind of a cornball. But it’s funny! Bad pick up lines and sometimes on your dates you can tell he stole one of Aki’s nicer jackets based on how it fits him. Also would let you use him as a chair if you so much as hinted at it.

You know that thing where men would throw their jackets over a puddle for a woman to walk through as an act of chivalry? Denji just lays down face first in the puddle and lets you walk over him.

Aki:

*sexy trumpet music starts playing*

He is a total simp for you. Lawd. When he thinks about you or is talking to someone about you he ends up smiling like a dork. Aki always looks at you with such adoring eyes.

When I think of Aki as a boyfriend I think of those older American movies with the love interest? You know??? How they’re always such sweethearts ack

He loves to see you dressed in his clothes, maybe one of his oversized shirts or his work jacket. Aki has definitely imagined you completely naked, only in his work button up once or twice.

Would give you a foot massage or a back massage when you’re stressed. I don’t know why foot came to mind . Who knows maybe Aki is a feet guy. Honestly he just likes to take care of you, make sure you’re always attended to.

Subtly flexes if he knows you're around. Oh you need help carrying that huge heavy thing? Move it Denji, Aki’s got this. 

Totally loves driving you around late at night just admiring the city. Or up on a rooftop where you two could share a cigarette. 

Aki is painfully aware of his own mortality and that he’s set to die soon due to his devil contracts and line of work. He may appear distant for periods of time in an attempt to push you away, his own way of trying to protect you. He doesn’t want you to be sad when he dies. Aki sucks at communicating these things. Eventually he does come around and decide to make every moment he has with you worth it, but it takes him some time.

Aki is dead set on killing devils, often he throws himself into his work to avoid arguments of uncomfortable conversations you two have. If you two had a fight the day previous, he spends the entire week going through packs of cigarettes and dedicating 100% of his thoughts to devil hunting.

aki has a really tight ass. slap it.

He doesn’t like it when you worry about him. If it were Denji or Power they would be playing up their injuries to garner pity points and extra kisses, but it makes Aki worried to see you worried. He tells you he’s fine, his injuries are nothing he can’t handle. Still, he can’t deny it does feel good to have you doting on him.

Power:

She’s a total sweetheart! I mean she’s also a total weirdo about it but she’s cute so who cares. Power is bad at hiding her emotions and is usually very shameless. She often throws her arms around you and clings to you or hugs you often. It isn’t till she’s realized she has a crush on you that she actually draws back, she’s a bit scared of rejection.

Once you two are in a proper relationship, Power is ALWAYS with you. She sleeps in the same bed as you and if you let her she’ll take a bath with you. Perhaps this is the way to coax her into taking a daily bath…

She’s kinda gross and will make you feel like the crazy one for pointing it out, no matter how gentle you are about it. Like no y/n, skid marks are totally normal and YOURE the weirdo for not having any…

She makes everyone shut up and be quiet when you’re talking (especially if she sees people are talking over you). Power enjoys showing off on how good of a girlfriend she is, always buying you snacks with Aki’s money and making sure you watch how cool she is. Power flexes whenever you’re around, she just has to be better than everyone else in the room. If she knows your watching then she’ll go all out when killing devils. If you’re a devil hunter like her then she’ll do everything she can to make sure you two are paired up together.

She often drapes herself over you and falls asleep like that. You’re basically her teddy bear at night to squeeze and cuddle with. It’s gotten to the point where Power can’t sleep at night if you’re not with her. She also likes to bite you. Sometimes lovingly and sometimes because she’s just hungry.

Power can be quite insensitive and honestly kind of mean at times with her teasing. She can come across as uncaring towards your feelings (not because she actually is but because she struggles understanding them). If she’s really upset you it might take her a while to realize and she’ll blame everyone else (except you) before she blames herself. Then she gets even more upset because she made you sad.

Loves physical affection and gift giving, might slump the body of a powerful devil at your feet if she thinks it’ll win her some praise. Power is a sucker for verbal affection too, just tell her how she’s the best and she’s the cutest and she flips out <3

Makima:

She is obsessed with finding a lover who can be her equal, someone who is perfection. Someone who will be hers for the end of time, and someone she doesn’t have to control or brainwash. Makima isn’t fond of lower life forms in the same way she isn’t fond of bad movies. She had no interest in a romantic relationship, not even when she took note of how much you enjoyed her presence.

BUT! Perhaps your cute little face and charming personality (and extensive knowledge of biblical arts and literature) can persuade her. You’re only temporary of course, until her true love (Chainsaw Devil) returns. But who is she to deny herself the simple pleasure of a partner.

Makima hadn’t expected to get so attached to you. She almost chastises herself for seeing you as expendable. No, you still are expendable of course; she just isn’t ready to part with you so soon. Not when you’re so lively and adoring. Even when she doesn’t have to ask for your affection, you still give it to her. She doesn’t want to control you, so often she controls those around you instead.

She enjoys coffee dates with you, letting you talk to her about the latest book you read. She goes shopping with you, picking out subtly matching outfits for the two of you to wear. She takes you up to a farm in the north as a vacation. You both watch birds in the park.

Makima can be super affectionate in private but almost ignores you in public sometimes (if you two work in public safety together). Though it isn’t rare for her to pull you to the side so she can hold your hand. She’s not a fan of PDA, or maybe she’s just shy. Still, it seems like everywhere you go, everyone knows your Makima’s partner.

Eventually, when she has the Chainsaw Devil in her grasp, then she’ll get rid of you. Yes, then. Except she doesn’t, rather instead she calls you over to sit with her in the graveyard while she cradles the devil, even letting you hold him while she whispers horrible nothings to the both of you.

Kishibe:

old man noises. Dilf. Fwwuahhhh….

He’s comes off as pretty distant for a few months because he doesn’t want to get emotionally hurt by you dying. Kishibe’s actually really overprotective, he just does most of his work in the shadows so you wouldn’t know it.

A malewife if you let him be one. Would totally make chicken noodle soup for you in a “kiss the cook” apron if you ever got sick. He’s not gonna cuddle you or anything though, might spray febreeze at you if you go near him while you’ve got something contagious.

Usually very stoic, he hardly smiles but the corners of his lips twitch upwards whenever you kiss him or are affectionate. I think he’s a total horn dog but also really really likes the more nonsexual forms of affection a bit more.

Kishibe buys you coffee whenever he comes to see you. Your dates are sparse because of his intense schedule; though the time you spend with him though is nothing short of amazing. Kishibe values you and your time, he makes the extra effort to clean himself up and take you somewhere nice. 

He loves holding you in his lap while you curl into him, nuzzle into the crook of his neck or something. Favorite thing ever. That and doggy style.

Spoils you rotten, he’d make a great sugar daddy if that’s what your after. If he even thinks you want it, it’s yours.

He’s very perceptive! He knows what’s bothering you without you needing to say anything, he can tell if you’re hiding something from him or if you’re nervous. He knows your tells and often knows what to do to help you feel a bit better.

Angel Devil:

Angel immediately tries to distance himself the moment he thinks he feels anything for you. He cannot for the life of him understand why, but he just knows he can’t let himself get close. Obviously because his touch will kill you, but he also gets this sense of deja vu. He does not want to kill another lover again, by accident or on purpose.

It doesn’t last long, you’re the only one in public safety that Angel really enjoys talking to. He often finds himself at your side anyway, talking to you about what to do after work. Maybe catch a movie or fall asleep on a bench again.

He literally buys himself gloves so he can touch you, if he’s gonna be your boyfriend then there’s no way he’s passing up the chance to hold your hand. It may have been your idea more, and while he was hesitant, being able to feel your grip in his made him insanely happy (though you might not know it since he’s not very expressive).

Angel above all wants to take a nap in your bed with you but he’s so scared of something going wrong that he can’t bring himself to do it. If you really insist on sleeping in the same bed as him then you have to put pillows between you two so no touching occurs. 

Angel also took a bath with you once, but you two were sat on completely opposite ends of the tub doing your own thing. 

He loves books. Either you read to him or he reads to you. Oddly enough he seems to like children’s books and old fairytales. 

Beam:

Beam has no shame when it comes to his crushes. His affection towards you is made very clear by him. Literally the dude is jumping out of the walls to hug you whenever you enter a room. If he was a dog, his tail would be constantly wagging.

He LOVES to kiss you but he doesn’t know how, and that uh. Shark thing... protruding from his head doesn’t make things easy. I hc Beam as being almost blind when he’s not in his shark form so uh... you’re gonna need to do most of the kissing. If you even hold his hand he’ll be over the moon.

Beam never formally asks you out, you two just kinda. start dating... He tried to ask you out once but got so excited he bit you lightly. 

Beam does not wear clothes outside of his cargo shorts, nor will he wear anything you give him. If it weren’t for Makima and the other devil hunters, he’d be swimming around totally naked. he DOES however enjoy curling up in your blankets and may wrap himself in them while he walks around. 

Beam often joins you in the shower or bath because he just wants to be around you a bunch. If you tell him to knock it off then he’ll just stand outside your bathroom with a sandwhich until you finish. 

“Lord Y/N Is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Get used to that title lol. 

Katana Man:

He’s got this weirdly smug “I’m always right” / “I told you so” attitude about him. It’s cute when it’s cute but dear god is it annoying when it’s directed towards you. Arguments with him are insufferable because he just goes in circles with it or deems you unintelligent in that subject area. He’d rather live in an echo chamber than change his viewpoints on some subjects.

He can be really awkward. I don’t think he interacts with people that he considers “on his level” very much and is used to talking down to others. Practices what to say to you on the first date in his head a million times and still can’t do it right. However you would just think he’s always brooding because his anxiety hardly ever shows up on his face. Well, he does sweat a lot… he isn’t used to receiving affection so he can be very stiff about it in the beginning.

Loves to spoil you. He doesn’t have as much free time as he would like because he’s a yakuza boss but he makes up for it with expensive gifts and buying you anything you want. He likes to show you off to his family too, can’t have his boo thang without the best clothes and finest jewelry.

He’s a very independent person and not very clingy. He can be demanding for your attention when he wants it but for most of the day you two are off doing your own things. Not a fan of PDA for the most part but he always has an arm wrapped around your waist whenever you two go out together. 

For the most part he’s a real gentleman, his grandpa raised him right. Holds doors open for you, buys you bouquets, gives you his coat when it’s cold or rainy, etc.

A malewife at heart I think. If you’re intimidating, unreasonable and irrational then you’re his type he just doesn’t know it. Also a cornball and would let you use him as a chair albeit he would be hesitant about it lmfao

He’s very emotional but refuses to acknowledge so. Also a hypocrite. Probably talks shit about your family if he doesn’t like them and tries to get you to distance yourself from them. He is a spiteful individual who holds grudges.

So I got super reincarnated Baal and.......

Holding his head to your chest, he shuffles a little so that his ear is pressed flat against your heartbeat. Eventually his breathing matches your own. You press a kiss to the crown of his head as your thumb continues smoothing over his other ear. He smiles softly and presses himself impossibly further to you. As he begins to fall asleep, you stop playing with his ear. His eyes snap open slightly and brings your hand back to its original position. "I thought you were sleeping," you whisper. "Hmm almost. You're comfortable." His random statement makes you stifle a laugh. "Then sleep," you say, lightly pinching the top of his ear. You feel him smile again, squishing his cheek to your sternum.
