Hi again! I know this is only like the 3rd fic ive posted, but I really wanted to because i’ve been not so great lately and just wanted to put fluff in the world, even if it only gets 1 note! 

Summary: Thor’s going to propose to Bruce

Word count: 660

Warnings: none, just fluffffff

‘Ok, ok. You can do this, Thor. All you have to do is get down on one knee and ask him to marry you.’ Thor whispered as he looked at the ring.

‘Hey babe, I’m home!’ Bruce said as he closed the door, causing Thor to jump out of his skin.

‘Uh, yeah, one sec!’ Thor responded, looking around anxiously for a place to put the ring. He resorted to sticking it under a blanket that was crumpled up beside their TV.

He raced over to Bruce, met with a quick kiss and a hug. ‘Hey, honey! How was your day?’ Thor asked, trying to be nonchalant.

‘It was good. Tony had me working with a bunch of pressurizers to test his suits, and I told him it wasn’t a good idea, but Tony being Tony, he didn’t listen, and -  are you ok, Thor?’ Bruce asked the taller man.

Thor was grinning down at Bruce. ‘It’s just cute when you go on your little rants.’

‘Thanks, babe.’ Bruce said, smiling at the ground and blushing furiously. ‘Do we have anything to eat? I’m starving.’

‘Yeah, I did a grocery run! And I only had to ask one person for help, who turned out didn’t even work there!’ Thor excitedly narrated as they walked to the kitchen.

‘That’s awesome, babe!’ Bruce smiled. As he listened to Thor, mapping out the layout of their (messy) apartment in his head. Bathroom on the left, living room on the right - was that room run over by dump truck or something? Bruce thought.

‘Yes. But the woman did tell me that strawberries are roses.’ Thor said, giving Bruce a confused look.

‘Yeah. I think that one’s actually true.’ Bruce laughed. ‘I’m just going to tidy up the living room a bit. That ok?’ Bruce asked.

‘Of course. I’ll get something to eat!’ Thor smiled. He forgot about the ring.

‘Ok! High five.’ Bruce said, holding his hand up.

‘Yes!’ Thor laughed, slapping Bruce’s hand. Bruce laughed and went into the living room. Thor made his way to the kitchen, thinking just how lucky he was to have Bruce and just how much he wanted to propose.

Propose.

Shit. Thor thought, quickly closing the fridge and running back to the living room to find Bruce standing next to the TV, back towards the door. He looked frozen. His eyes were glued to something in his hands. A small black velvet box rested on the table to the left of him.

‘Bruce -‘

‘Thor. Thor, what is this?’ Bruce asked, turning around, ring in hand. It was a small, silver ring, with a tiny blue gem embedded in the middle if it.

‘It’s... um... a ring?’ Thor answered, gripping with one hand on the doorway and the other rubbing his neck. He looked down towards the floor, unable to look the other man in the eyes.

‘Thor... what’s it for, though?’ Bruce asked, walking towards him.

‘Um.... I thought you may like it?’ Thor mumbled, looking up to see Bruce six feet away from him.

‘You thought I would like it?’ Bruce said. ‘Why?’

‘Because it’s kind of like... you? Small and delicate and special in a different way. But not a bad way, just in a... a different way. Like you’re cute and small and unforgettable and just special and-‘ Thor said, having a “word vomit”, as Bruce would say. Oh, Bruce. Bruce...

‘Huh.’ Bruce looked down at the ring. ‘Hey, it’s the same colour as your eyes.’ He smiled broadly.

‘I was... going to give it you.’ Thor muttered.

Bruce was silent for a moment.

‘You were?’ He asked, smiling a little. ‘You were going to give it to me? Like... a proposal?’

‘Ah, yes. But if you don’t want that, I-‘

‘Thor. Thor. Look at me.’ Bruce said gently. ‘I want this more than you know. So Thor...’

‘Yes?’ Thor asked.

Bruce held the ring out in front of Thor’s face. ‘Will you marry me?’
