I have one of the most insane and stupid interpretations of hfjone and I just have to share it here.
Listen. Airy’s character isn’t his own guy, there’s a reason Airy was never given a proper name, is left intentionally ambiguous and ends the story in that way.
Airy IS Cheesy HFJ, literally.
Airy is so apathetic about the characters because he knows they aren’t real.
Airy didn’t kidnap the characters because he wanted company or entertainment, he did it because he wanted to write a story.
Airy literally has control over the setting, shows pride in his creations, intentionally uses the characters to push a story into existence and EVERYTHING AIRY DOES CAN BE USED AS A METAPHOR FOR SOMETHING A WRITER WOULD DO.
Airy is so adamant about the show continuing because he knows how he wants the story to end, and he doesn’t want their story to end by them going home.
Airy dying is the parallel to the writer ending the natural story, and what’s left is a question:
What happens to fictional characters when the story is over?
This question is answered by hfjone in a special way by saying that they go to limbo, forever being frozen constructs of what they once were but being dead in every way but literal.
Where does stone fit into this? Stone is the viewer, more specifically stone is what happens when a fan cares about character, they want to try and help these characters and one of them made it into the narrative. Stone makes effort but cannot communicate properly with the fictional characters, stone can warn but never enough. And ultimately, in the characters eyes, every fan is the exact same and there is an ocean of millions.
Maybe I’m holding cheesy to too high of a standard of artistic genius, but a lot of these metaphors feel really intentional

The OSC has problems and it's all your guys' fault. (Not the mods, but rather the people who contributing these confessions).
Everyone hates everyone and everyone hates this place, even though yall clearly ain't doing enough to help that!
If you hate what's going on you should work to fix the problem rather than promoting hate and spreading negativity.
If you hate how there's too much discourse? Just contribute to healthy communication.
If you hate how there's not enough good shows? Promote the good ones and for the love of God make one yourself if you think you can do better instead of constantly bashing the ones you don't like.
If you hate the other people in the community? Just don't interact with the community. You can like something and be a part of the fanbase without being part of the community.
If you hate a specific ship? JUST DONT TALK ABOUT THE SHIP AND IGNORE THE PEOPLE WHO DO. Your life will improve when you stop contributing to discourse.
If you hate a specific show or its creators? JUST DONT WATCH THE SHOW AND IGNORE THE PEOPLE WHO DO. Your life will improve when you stop contributing to discourse.
YOUR LIFE WILL IMPROVE WHEN YOU STOP CONTRIBUTING TO A NEGATIVE COMMUNITY.
Either leave the community or fix the problem.

personally i both love season 2 and season three but i like season 2 a little more... season two for the plotline/character interactions, and season three for the cartoony artstyle!!
