working at the aladdin theater has its perks. for one, the popcorn machine sometimes gets jammed and zamir, the manager, will turn a blind eye as you shovel buttery popcorn into bins and store them under the counter to melt with chocolate for a shift snack.

there were free movies. ally, a girl who doesn’t need a job but got one to make her dad happy, complains that there aren’t good seats ever open, and that she’s too busy with a ‘real life’ to stay late to catch a film. but you don’t mind. you actually quite prefer the late shifts. nine pm to two am, that was the sweet spot, and so thats were you could be found on many nights in the summer time.

the best, for sure, were the people. 

the aladdin also seemed to attract some very interesting characters, which, in your opinion, makes for some stellar people-watching. the kind that you can’t find nearly anywhere else; and in a town as disturbing as derry, people living in this place are the most peculiar characters ever. the night shift showed you all of derry’s freaks, losers, and geeks.

I think I matched the criteria of what you had wanted quite well. If I hadn’t, I do apologise. Also, the reader appears quite bitchy in this along with Natasha, Wanda and Maria but that’s because I added some history between Sharon and reader which I feel would warrant some behaviour like that from reader.
