you do not get brownie points for liking or knowing a celebrity longer than new fans. the fact that the celebrity have new fans mean that they are doing well. you should be happy that they are doing this well and people like them so much. this weird gatekeepy behavior and talking down nonsense (especially on fellow black people like girl let’s be serious now… it’s getting a little weird) is weird and childish. we too grown. i’m new to letitia’s fandom and i’m just so happy to be in a community filled with so much talent and genuinely funny and nice women. let’s celebrate that. justice for that!!!
