I think Lea's decision was completely valid...
Opinions can change in the future and I know this post was made out of feminism but I'm super excited to see how they betray Shaun as a father to a child with potential ASD.
If she decided to keep the child or not I would still support their decision
I just want a story when a woman has an unplanned pregnancy and sheâs not ready so she decides to not keep the baby, IS THAT SO FUCKING HARD???!!!
I haven't finished writing anything in so long, it feels like I've given up...

Chimneys little girl is lost in the mall and goes up to Maddie for help/Maddie ask her if she needs help. She helps her find her daddy. đ„ș
âExcuse me, miss?â Maddie looks down at the sound of a little voice, putting back the dress she had been looking at when she finds a young girl of around seven or eight looking up at her with brown, tear filled eyes. âI canât find my daddy.â The words are said with so much sadness that it breaks Maddieâs heart as she kneels down to the girls height, frowning.Â
âWhatâs your name, sweetie?â She keeps her voice light, moving her hand to gently wipe at the tears that are falling down her face as she pouts at her, swaying her body from one side to the other. Maddie can remember being lost in a store once; her parents had taken their eyes off her and Daniel for just a moment and her brother had insisted on going back to grab the toy their parents had said no to. She doesnât remember much other than just feeling terrified and alone when her brother had let go of her hand and she was all alone.Â
âAera Han and I am seven years old.âÂ
âMy name's Maddie and I wonât tell you my age but itâs lots of numbers bigger than that, itâs nice to meet you Aera, that is a very beautiful name.â Sheâs quick to abandon her search for something appropriate for the date she was meant to be going on that night but had been trying to get out of since her best friend had set it all up. If there was anything she hated more than blind dates, it was awkward double dates and whilst Josh insisted it would be fun, she couldnât help but doubt that in its entirety. She stands up, smiling when the little girl takes her hand, looking around for any obvious signs of a man looking for her.
The mall is busy but not horrendously so, and sheâs sure she would have heard someone screaming her name by now if he was nearby. The tears, at least, are forgotten as Aera looks up at her, âIt means love because my daddy loves me very much. I donât have a mommy because a lady grew me in her belly so daddy could be a daddy.â Maddie smiles at the innocent explanation at what she can only assume is surrogacy, squeezing the hand of the little girl.Â
âWell, my name doesnât have such a beautiful meaning so you are very lucky.â She looks down as Aera looks up, both of them smiling at each other, âNow, do you remember the last time you saw your daddy? Where were you?âÂ
Thereâs a pondering look on her face for a second, her nose scrunching up, âDaddy was in the line buying a teddy bear for my Aunty Henâs and Karenâs new baby and he was talking to someone and I was bored, so I went to go look at the candy and then I was lost.â Maddie nods her head, trying to figure out where there would be bears and candy as she takes a look around at all the different stores. She couldnât have wandered too far and it certainly couldnât have been too long or sheâs sure she would have heard or seen the commotion of a parent losing their child by now.Â
âYou must be really excited for your cousin?â Distraction techniques is what she usually uses in her job as a paediatric nurse, walking slowly and looking in each stop for the sign of cuddly toys or a panicked man.Â
âShe cries a lot, maybe daddy thinks the bear will make her happy.âÂ
Itâs with a laugh that Maddie nods her head, finally coming to a stop outside a shop where she can see a security guard talking to a man who appears to be shouting, gesturing around them as others start to look around. âThatâs my daddy! Look, Maddie! Thatâs my daddy!â Sheâs more than thankful for the childâs excitement and thus, her lack of volume control because itâs enough to get the attention of the distressed man and the security guard he had been shouting at until the little girls hand is gone from her own and sheâs running towards the man as though itâs been years since she had seen him last.
The intensity of which he drops to his knees must hurt but heâs smiling, relief flooding his features as he wraps his arms tightly around the little girl. Itâs slightly awkward as she steps towards them, chewing down on her bottom lip as she waits for the embrace to end. Sheâs done what she had set out to do - get the little girl back to her dad, where she was safe, so now sheâs redundant. She shoots the guilty looking security guard a sympathetic look, although sheâs not sure heâs entirely deserving considering heâd just let a seven year old walk right past him but he looks as though he has the weight of the world on his shoulders right then, so she can only offer him a slice of kindness heâs undeserving of.Â
âI told you she wasnât hiding in the store.â The man has finally stood up, his hand gripping onto the little girls tightly and his attention purely on the security guard for just a second until he turns to Maddie and for just a second, she wonders if sheâs about to get shouted at too. At least the anger in his eyes dissipates, replaced with that relief once more, âThank you. WhereâŠâÂ
âJust a few stores over.â She cuts him off, wanting him to know she hadnât wandered too far, biting down on her lip as she looks at him. Heâs handsome - brown eyes that remind her of his daughterâs, a small x shaped scar in the centre of his forehead, a greying stubble and a grey tip of his black hair thatâs an absolute mess in the most endearing of ways. The nervous lopsided smile on his lips and the flush of his cheeks is even more captivating and she takes a step back when she realises sheâs probably making her staring a little too obvious. âI should head off but it was really nice meeting you Aera.âÂ
âDaddy, Maddie helped me. Isnât she pretty and nice? Maybe we could say thank you with a pretzel?â Maddie had seen her eying up the pretzel stand on their short walk from one store to the next, laughing at the little girl's attempt to get something she wanted whilst the man just shakes his head, his smile growing.Â
âYou donât have to thank me, I was just---â
âI-I could get you a coffee⊠itâs the least I can do for your trouble. If you have time, Iâm sure weâve taken up enough of itâŠâÂ
Maddie thinks about it for only a second, knowing that Josh was probably going to murder her if she was late for the double date she didnât even want to go on in the first place, but the seven year old is looking at her with nothing but pure excitement and the man, who still remains unnamed, seems hopeful and nervous in the most appealing sort of way. His smile is bright when she nods her head, âIâm Howie, by the way.â He finally introduces himself, and she canât stop the grin on her own face as he does, taking his extended hand and shaking it.Â
âNice to meet you, Howie.â
