I agree with this! I'd also like to add under the "Whatever Is Even Going On Here" section the Hammer-Headed Bat. They are such strange looking little guys!
I discovered them on an animal Google deep dive and they have lived in my head since. I don't know what their deal is but they're so special to me.
Most bats can actually be sorted into one of four groups. Happy batwatching out there!
(left > right, top > bottom: canyon bat, some sort of generic vesper bat & leaf nosed bat, visored bat & pendlebury roundleaf bat, flying fox)
