one of the biggest things we're losing to ai is community.
people think that ai can make whatever you want fast, so why bother talking to small artists and commissioning them and making friends and getting advice on how to draw for yourself. why bother researching yourself when ai can tell you straight away. even fucking roleplay. you guys won't roleplay with your friends but will download some lame ai app to have onesided conversations that don't even feel real.
talk to people! make friends! roleplay with your friends! draw even if you think your art is bad because i promise you will improve and someone out there loves your art! do fun art trades with friends and commission your fav artists! reblog art! research things yourself! talk to people about topics! please just goddamn talk to people

i think star trek will stay with me forever.
it has injected me with a permanent joy and whimsy and helped me unlearn shame/cringe culture. most importantly, it makes me see the good in humanity.
star trek has affected me in ways i never knew media could affect me. it keeps me optimistic about humanity’s future, and inspires me to do what is right no matter what. star trek makes me unashamed to be myself, however nerdy or silly I may be.
star trek is so important to me and i have a feeling it always will be.

You gotta read and watch some old books and films that aren’t 100% modern politically correct. I’m not saying you should agree with everything in them but you need to learn where genres came from to understand what those genres are doing today and where media deconstructing old tropes is coming from.
Also, more often than you might think, they’re not actually promoting bigotry so much as “didn’t consider all the implications of something” or just used words that were polite then but considered offensive now.
