Period. (Sorry for the rant. Brief mention of EDs but I don't go into it like that. Sorry, it got personal)

This has me so mad tho. I despise the fact that we should have to normalise loving larger people unabashedly....it should already be normal.

People are people, and size, shape, or weight shouldn't determine how much someone is worth or whether or not they deserve love, or whether or not they get to feel sexy in their own bodies. All bodies are equally beautiful. All shapes are equally beautiful. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. I know that sounds cliche, but it's true. However, it's sad that people don't realise it.

Media forces this small, narrow niche standard of beauty, even though most of us don't fit it. Shoot, for most....it's unattainable simply because of body structure. For Pete's sake....in America (I can really only speak for America), the average (dress) size amongst women is 16-18 and the average man's waist size is around 40 inches. However, this is not what the media likes to portray as beautiful or gorgeous or anything like that. The average female model's waist is around 23 inches. For the male model it is 29-32 inches. This fact makes it harder on those who are a bit larger than these narrowly set standards.

It's sad because this leaves a lot of people out. A lot of people who feel unloved, sad, guilty, depressed. A lot of people that feel self loathing. A lot of people that may fall prey to EDs. Those disorders are the deadliest of all psychological disorders. It's an extremely hard thing to fight (as both of us on bellytan have experienced in some way)

This needs to be changed. People need to be told they are beautiful. They need to be shown that they are beautiful. All bodies are beautiful.

And for my wonderful soft gorgeous people out there. Y'all are not just merit badges or things people put on display like hunting trophies. You are not just novelties to be discarded of once the vibe wears off. Most importantly, you are not burdens.Y'all rule and deserve just as much love as that seemingly "perfect", slim thicc model on social media, or that buff, chiseled model on the magazine covers. Your bodies are just as glorious and beautiful to behold.

to all my fat babes out there: don’t ever settle for a partner who makes you feel like your fatness is a burden to them or a badge of merit to show off – dont settle for “i love you even though youre fat” or someone who fetishizes your body and fails to see you as the whole and wonderful person you are. i promise a love out there that will make you feel normal and beautiful and adored, i promise there is someone out there who won’t make comments that make you feel uncomfortable in the skin you inhabit. don’t settle for anything less than the wholesome and healing love u deserve <3

For any of our fellow bloggers that may post like chubby BTS fics and fanart and stuff... We would advise that maybe for now, don't use like "# chubby BTS" or any tag like that (involving BTS) for now, (or even like a code tag like "# chubby ㅂTS" or something).

I'm sure everyone has noticed the influx of hate directed towards us in the community. Just know that you are not alone. You are not a bad person for having these interests, and people are too immature to just leave well enough alone. They don't understand the concept of

"Don't like it, don't read it"

Especially when no one is being harmed or hated on.
