GUYS OKAY I THOUGHT OF SOMETHING SAD AND EVIL. i remembered how in one of the asks, dtdev confirmed that the only non-right-handed person besides teruko is arei, who's ambidextrous.

so i'm sure that the implication was that she was just born like that -- and unless i'm wrong, there isn't much benefit to being strong with both arms in bowling, so her talent isn't really relevant for this.

HOWEVER. i also remembered that sometimes people's natural handedness can change after being forced to use their non-dominant hands long enough. usually this would be seen in lefties who are societally pressured into gaining proficiency with their right hand, but there's also cases of people becoming effectively ambidextrous after breaking their dominant hand.

and because of THAT, there's a non-zero chance that arei's ambidextrous because one of those 'hospital visits' she took b/c of her sisters was literally just. them somehow breaking her strong arm/hand long enough that she'd be forced to gain proficiency in her non-dominant hand too.

there's obviously no real way to prove or disprove this concept in the story itself now -- the only time we see her writing is with her right hand, her glove placement implies she bowls primarily with her left hand and that's kinda it. but... yeesh.
