Fun list of Useless DHMIS facts I’ve collected over time:

- The carehounds saliva is made of hair gel.

- Lesley’s lines were dubbed post-production, so Vivienne Soan’s real voice was unfortunately never used.

- The reason for Red Guy and Duck to sit in front of a fridge in Electricity, was partly so Josh Elwell (Duck’s puppeteer) could hide behind it.

- The Twins were originally going to be conjoined.

- It was confirmed by one of Red Guy’s skin artists, that they cannot see anything under his string, and must rely on the teams directions in order to move around safely.

- Becky, Joe and Terry accidentally set fire to their apartment when they were filming the webseries, and needed to call the fire brigade.

- Red Guy’s canon height is 5’7 for all his actors.

- There were 25 initial episode ideas for the second series, that were wittled down to 6.

- Because Duck doesn’t work on green screen, Yellow doesn’t work on blue screen and Red doesn’t work on pink screen, the team had to use special rotoscoping for backgrounds.

- If the trios mouths do not seem to fit with their line, it’s because several lines were changed later on. The creators stated that this was because of them getting tired of jokes as production continued.

- Yellow Guy’s shy older brother is from Wakey Wakey.

- When brainstorming for the Channel 4 series, Becky stated that the initial plot twist of the show was going to be that the trio were giant in comparison to humans.

- The scene in which Duck struggles to use the computer in Friendship, as well as Roy being a director of the show, are both ideas inspired by another one of Becky and Joe’s projects known as ‘Craigs Big Day’.

- The only confirmed shippers of Fluffybird on the DHMIS team are Becky Sloan, Adam Mayne and Charlie Perkins.

- In the trio’s living room, they have a picture of a women leaning against a tree, as well as a little statue of a horse. Both details are references to a music video the crew worked on known as ‘Swim and Sleep like a Shark’.

- Becky Sloan’s favourite character to write for is Yellow Guy, Joe Pelling’s is Duck, and Baker Terry’s is Red Guy.

- In college, Joe used to joke about being the father to his friends, leading to the eventual joke showing up in family.

- Duck wears black work shoes at the end of Jobs, but they’re never seen by the viewer.

- The long-standing prank of DHMIS being a show about pirates, is referenced in the background of the transport song.
