Okaaaaaaay. I’m gonna have to agree with all those comments I’ve read that this is a faux BL. It kinda is and tbh I thought all the changes made from the manhwa to the drama were so that everything appeared to be less gay. I think I was mistaken.

We all know Crown Prince is a woman duh. And Jiwoon did see her first, in the woods, as a woman. But that was only a short while and by this point in the story he’s been in the palace a few weeks, in close proximity with the CP, getting to know “him”. He did say to his friend the CP looked like that woman, but he never said “I think the Prince is a girl”. So, for all intents and purposes, Jiwoon is gay for the Prince. He’s falling for her actions and personality, but at the end of the day, he’s still convinced she is a man.

Meanwhile, Prince Dimples fell for Dami after he found out she was a girl, which doesn’t make his feelings any less real but it doesn’t beat my excitement for Jiwoon’s crush for the CP. So I guess my point here is: Prince Dimples is not gay for her, but Jiwoon is, therefore his love is more interesting to me. My god, the things this drama makes me write. HAHAHAHAHA

In the web comic this show is adapted from, the two leads run away some place far from the palace to live life together and it is a very beautiful, open ending!! Hope something similar or something even better happens in the show!! But this feels like a major hint towards the possible ending!!
