Miss Binley! Miss Binley! *raises hand and waves it frantically* I have a question! How do you draw out rooms, environments, and cities so well? How do you plan it out?

oh cooey! well basically i try to draw from life as much as I can, I find it easier to draw something if I can have a 3D reference to draw from, like a room or a street you like the features of and I basically just start with the basic shapes of the environment and getting the perspective right and then add in details and change mistakes etc. Obviously you can’t always get a real life reference or even a photo but I just apply the same thing, block in the basic shapes and then add detail etc, sometimes if it’s a street i’m drawing I try to imagine what the buildings would look like head on so that it’s easier to put the features in perspective. I’m not an expert or anything but this method seems to work for me! Thanks so much for this ask man I really appreciate your interest!

But I had to put this up because I was so excited to do a mini collab with the incredible binley​. Her character designs are so on point, so when I saw her Connie drawings, I had to throw together a background for one of the poses.
