I Cant Stand People That Dont Let Me Speak Hyperbolically. If I Cant Respond To A Minor Inconvenience
I can’t stand people that don’t let me speak hyperbolically. If I can’t respond to a minor inconvenience that someone should get shot in the fucking head for it then what’s the point of it all.

somewhat incoherent rant time:
I just finished rewatching atla for the third time, and then watched drew gooden’s video on what went wrong with the netflix adaptation (because I expected it to be anything but good and didn’t want to waste my time watching it if it’s trash)
and the biggest issues he highlights in his video is that netflix basically lays out the entire storyline point blank through dialogue which negates the meaning of certain reveals/plot points that develop over time, but also the BUTCHERING of the characters.
they literally just delete any character flaws/depth to most of the main characters and I just - why can we not let audiences read between the lines a little bit??? I notice this soooo much in modern media where writers literally just lay everything out completely and I truly believe it’s genuinely killing media literacy like - stop assuming your audience is stupid and let them use critical thinking and inference!!!
Rest in peace Leo Valdez, you would’ve loved saying “rizz”
this was actually too good to resign to discord
Every time I see a hockey goalie with their helmet propped on their head I'm like omg...just like pericles....

“And perhaps it is the greater grief, after all, to be left on earth when another is gone. [...] When he died, all things soft and beautiful and bright would be buried with him.” 🩸
“In the darkness, two shadows, reaching through the hopeless, heavy dusk. Their hands meet, and light spills in a flood like a hundred golden urns pouring out of the sun.” 🌻
Two souls, reunited.
