"Indoctrination" is a word I use frequently. 🪤 👍🏿💪🏿
“Indoctrination” is a term which refers to the intent to impose ideas or beliefs upon people in areas that ultimately call for individual reflection, decision-making, and choice from generation to generation.
It is a distasteful activity because it is aimed at limiting the individual’s ability to think and choose.
Here are some signs indicating it’s most likely indoctrination. See how you score!
1. You teach your son the tenets of your religion at a young age, before he’s able to think critically.
2. You don't only teach the tenets, you INSIST they’re true and only those who believe in your tenet will be rewarded (heaven)
3. You teach him about your religion BUT NOT about any others, or in almost no depth.
4. You don’t tell him that some people don’t believe the tenets of your religion, or you tell him that only bad people don’t, or that those people will be heavily punished(hell).
5. You discourage him from asking questions about your religion, or fob him off with BS or illogical answers.
6. Aside from teaching him yourself, you send your son to Sunday School or mosque and/or insist on regular church/mosque attendance.
7. You make an effort to prevent him from learning anything at odds with your religion, especially other religions, science, evolution.
8. Give praise to your religious god (Jewish god yaweh, christian god jesus, moslem god allah, Shiva, kreshna , buddha etc for a good work done keeping your son in the religion when it is 100% your effort...
Stop childhood indoctrination and begin to feed religion to your children when they are of age and can critically think and see if your religious gods won't starve to death 🤹🤹..
