Hey, I found this cool website that documents all the different British Rail style and branding guides from over the years.

It's got a lot of cool stuff, like these really neat regional identifiers/logos:

As well as guidelines on letters and spacing for signage, in two different versions of Rail Alphabet, one from 1965 and one from 1985, in both White-on-black, and also Black-on-White.

They even went specific with liveries - like any good graphics standard manual should:
