this can cannonically happen in the lotr universe

as middle earth is just meant to be the far far past and eventually it loses its magic and becomes our world. Tolkein wrote in one of his letters that "this 'history' is supposed to take place in a period of the actual Old World of this planet.”

And tolkein was a christian so it would stand to reason that Jesus would be God in lotr (as it is meant to be the real world).

And with gandalf being an angel and jesus being god, they would probably meet
