as of 22nd April 2021 we have about 16.3M total cases and a death toll of 187K . Only about 1.4% of the population has been fully vaccinated yet.
on top of that, we've been facing a major shortage in oxygen supply (to the point where the govt has decided to airlift oxygen from other nations), a shortage in hospital beds and services. The numbers keep rising and with the spread of the new strain, the scenario has transformed into something deadlier than ever.
our infrastructures are falling apart and we need all the help possible at this very moment so the nation can be atleast saved when there's still a chance. Well, well, well… Look at what we are dealing with today! None other than alchemy itself! To be fairly honest, I’m surprised I had yet to see anyone make an actual alchemical analysis of VnC, or even make thorough research on the subject of alchemy and Paracelsus given how much of an importance alchemists have in the VnC universe despite never actually making an appearance. In any cases, now I am! And I am going to thoroughly! So thoroughly that I advise you to take a break after this post because, holy cow, there is a lot to unveil.
As a quick warning to start, as always, remember that I will spoil all manga chapters that are currently available as of writing this post (54), this warning is less to avoid spoilers for everyone this time, and more because you probably won’t understand a lot of what I’m saying unless you actually have some knowledge of the latest arc.
This alchemical study will be done in two parts/posts, the first one being the one you are reading, mostly spouting out vague links and facts about alchemy, while the second post will be about me linking the facts together to form theories about the future of the story. However, I consider this post to be important since it could at the very least serves as a quick and abridged initiation to alchemy to those interested (even if my main subject will be VnC), and help you form your own theories as well (or maybe confirm some you already may have).
Now that it is said, let’s dive right into the wonderful alchemical world of VnC.
