He watches the way you’re folding a pair of old pants you own and how you stuff it in the way back of a drawer. Kyle’s eyebrows furrow as he watches you close the drawer with tense shoulders, the way you tug your shirt down over your hips as if to hide yourself.

Kyle knows better than to immediately approach you about it, so that whilst you’re both making dinner together, he comes behind you and wraps his arms around you. He presses kisses to your shoulder, making you laugh. “What’s that for?” You ask softly, and he can’t see your smile but he can certainly hear it. “For you, bein’ yourself.” Kyle replies easily, kissing up your shoulder to your neck.

You laugh, shivering a bit. “What do you mean?”

Kyle let’s out a heavy sigh, pausing for a moment as he squeezes you against his body. “I wouldn’t want anyone else. Wouldn’t trade you for the world, you know that?”
