Thinking About A Cycle Of Violence That Was Never Yours To Hold. Failing To Play The Part You Were Given.

thinking about a cycle of violence that was never yours to hold. failing to play the part you were given. an orchestrated tragedy without the ending. the knowledge that once you have seen the cycle you are forever part of it. you can break a link but that does not mean you have broken the chain.

β˜… β€” Gregory can feel the bubbling hope in his chest begin to ebb as the sound of static stretches on, devoid of anyone on the other side and once again leaving him alone in the caverns. His tether to the walkie - talkie loosens, the urgency in his grip beginning to relax as his shoulders uncurl. The connection may be broken, but that didn't change what he now knew β€” Michael was here. Michael was looking for him. There's relief in that knowledge, a soothing balm over his steady, thrumming fear.

Michael's voice breaks through the white - noise once again, faint and incomplete ; but enough for unease to settle into Gregory's bones. He was talking to someone. Someone Gregory couldn't hear.

( is that why Cassie had decided to come to this place? )

"What're you talking about?" "I β€” don't know. It grabbed me!" "It's, uh β€” it's not like last time. I- I think I'm deeper down." "There was an accident. Everything collapsed. I didn't get a good look." "What's going on? Can you even hear me?" "You have to get me out!" β€”β€” "Fucking come on!"

THE STATIC PERSISTS on Michael's end as well, fragments of Gregory's voice escaping through the incessant radio feedβ€” every piece he does manage to catch, though... he can't help but feel it sounds undeniably wrong. It's identical to Gregory's voice, Cassie seems to believe it ( she's quickly distressed the moment Gregory tells them about whatever's down there with him, that he's scared ), and there's no doubt that he isn't alone down there. Yet even in the worst situations, it's far from anything Gregory would ever say.

Michael was the one to see him that night in the Pizzaplex, he knows how Gregory would act: and this isn't it.

He pauses for a moment, unsure how to respond ( if it isn't Gregory that he's talking to... he doesn't want to clue whatever it is in ), before opting to respond to the voice he does hear... trying to gain as much insight as possible. "Yeah, yeah, I'm coming. What's down there with you? Do I know what it is?" Subtle hint to the rabbit suit Gregory told him of after that night. "Can you describe it? Anything you might have seen?"

β˜… β€” They both know the given explanation is contrived ; a superfluous excuse given for Gregory's sake so that he can pretend he isn't being coddled. A small pout ghosts across the young boy's features, his head tilting as he decides if he'll let the silent appeal to his ego pass or not.

But Bonnie still doesn't push β€” only teases, good natured.

Ultimately, Gregory decides he'll let it slide. He doesn't want to argue ( especially when gossamer is pulled across the scene, flimsy, but still a veil for his own sake ), and there are worse things than being carried by an animatronic. Still, he has to make the decision look semi - suffering ; rolling his eyes and sighing.

"Okay, fine .... I'll do it."

Muttered answer, laced with affection as he closes the distance between the two and clambers up onto the rabbit's shoulders. A little clumsy ( he has more experiencing fitting into a small space rather than trying to balance ), but ultimately with no large struggle. Once settled, he rests his hands on top of Bonnie's head and leans his chin over top them.

"Happy?"

Still Knelt Down, Bonnie Tips His Head, Looking At Gregory Silently For A Moment, Slight Smile Still

still knelt down, bonnie tips his head, looking at gregory silently for a moment, slight smile still on his face, affection in his glance. his head then droops with a joking sigh, before he raises his paws up in faux-surrender. πŸŽΈβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Ž " okay, okay, you got me, superstar. i just wanted ya' up there, so ya' can keep an eye out for us. ", " this is some real 'mission impossible' stuff we're doing here, sn -eaking into a place like this. and, the best always need a lookout, don't they? " πŸŽΈβ€β€β€Žβ€β€ " i just didn't wanna put too much pressure on ya', y'know? " bonnie chuckles, it's obvious he's embellishing a little: and, he knew the other knew that. he was a smart kid, after all, but. he was hoping gregory would still try and go along with it, and play this bit out, at least. πŸŽΈβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Ž " b-uuu-t, if ya' don't want the job, don't think you're up for it, then i won't force ya'. " (he's still giving gregory an out, the choice, though, just incase he wanted to stick to his guns. god knows bonnie can be stubborn, too.) πŸŽΈβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Žβ€β€β€Ž β€Ž
