Jeon Jungkook has spent the last twenty years alone.  Single.  Solo.

And that’s just the way he likes it.  That is, until he meets the supposed love of his life.  Suddenly he’s falling over himself at the chance of a real relationship with someone.

The only thing standing in his way? You.

“So that’s it then?” Jungkook stares at Namjoon, uncomprehending.

“What do you mean?”

“I mean,” Namjoon cocks his head, “You’re just giving up?” Jungkook can’t believe what he’s hearing.

Giving up? “Did you listen to any of what I just said?” Jungkook is incredulous, “She lied to me for months.” “And that was a shitty thing to do,” Taehyung agrees from his spot on the couch, “But do you really think you can’t forgive her?”

“We’re not saying she hasn’t fucked up,” This comes from Hoseok, who takes a bite out of the huge pepperoni pizza they’ve ordered for dinner, “But people do stupid things when they’re in love.” In love.

Jungkook’s chest tightens. It’s been almost a week since that night - almost a full week since he’s seen or heard from Y/N. She hasn’t texted him - hasn’t turned up to any of their classes.

He knows she’s giving him space.

That she doesn’t want to overstep any boundaries.

But Jungkook can’t help it. He misses her.

And yet…

“Just who’s side are you guys on?” Jungkook grunts, taking a long swig from his bottle of beer. A desperado of course - just one of many things that reminds him of Y/N.
