   You should have known that this was an awful idea, that you should have stayed at home and enjoyed a night of Netflix binging instead. You should have known when all of your friends shook their heads, patted you on the back and told you to just get over it. You really should have known that you were an idiot when you were talking to your grandmother on your weekly phone call this morning and upon hearing of your plans for Friday night she softly said, “bless your heart” the old southern lady equivalent of ‘You’re a complete and total idiot.’ But no, you did not heed any of those warnings and now you sat at a table in one of your previously favorite restaurants seated across from your ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend and all of his friends.
