“Bubba?”

Bubba sniffled as he looked up at you. He had been curled up in the corner, face buried into his knees as he sobbed, but once he heard you come in he’d immediately tried to quiet himself down.

You shut the door behind yourself and walked over to him, plopping down in front of him. You reached over and wiped a tear out of his eye.

“Hey, calm down, buddy. It’s alright.” You attempted to soothe him, pulling him into your arms.

He let out a tiny whimper as he buried his face into your neck.

“Were they being mean again?” You asked, petting his curly hair.

Of course he knew you meant his brothers. He gave a muffled, “Mhm,” and sniffled again. He finally looked up, tears spilling down his mask. Poor baby…

“Look,” You cupped his face in your hands, “I’ll go talk to them. Alright?”

He gave a small, weak smile.

You pressed a kiss to the nose of his mask. “There’s my happy Bubby. You should get some rest. I’ll be back up in a little while.”

After you tucked him in in his bed, it didn’t take long for him to start snoring. He was out cold.

You stood up, cracking your neck and popping your knuckles. You’d talk to those two, alright. And you’d make sure your point got through.

Nobody fucks with your man.
