With a sigh he let the pen slide out of his hand.

“What’s wrong with you?“, you confronted him without understanding.

This man has been more exhausting in the past few months than whole humanity.

“I don’t understand what you mean.“, he simply replied.

“Don’t act as if you're innocent, Erwin. You don't allow me to get into relationships, you overwhelm me with annoying tasks, so that I hardly have time to see my friends, and now you took my position as a squad leader away from me."

He sat back in his chair indifferently. Your words didn't seem bother him at all.

“Is that all you wanted to say?“

You hissed stressed.

“No, it’s not. You don’t let me participate at the next expedition, even though you know how important my duty is to me."

Waiting for an explanation, you glared at him.

“If that’s everything you wanted to say, you can leave now.“, he said dryly and turned to his papers the next moment.

“What?“, you gasped in disbelief.

“I told you to go.“ he repeated firmly. Your eyebrow twitched in anger.

“Why are you doing this to me?"

“I’m not leaving until you tell me why!“, you countered, even though you were horrified.

With a deep breath he rose from his chair. His strong gaze pierced mercilessly into your soul.

“I love you.“, Erwin replied calmly, “That’s why I can’t let another man, a titan, or your useless friends take you away from me."

You were expecting many different, possible answers. But not with this one. Not this one.

“I... I don’t know...”, you muttered, looking for the right words.

“I have answered your question. You can leave now.“ His voice was stoic.

Silently, you turned around and walked towards the door, but when you tried to pull down the door handle, you paused.

“Leave as long as I let you do so.“, he warned, but you kept silent without moving an inch.

You heard him coming closer to you. He stopped right behind your back.
