So at the time of starting this tumblr I'm 185 lbs and 5'7". My goal is to be a mostly muscular 200 lbs in the next year. I've been plateauing for far too long, and I think it's time for another bulk attempt. Hoping that by externalizing my goals and thoughts I'll be able to stick with my resolutions. Not sure how much interest others are gonna have in this blog, but we'll see. For the record this blog is gonna be sincere and real. Not into fantasizing about dudes with muscles. I wanna be one of those dudes, not dream about em. My avatar is me. The pics I post of myself are real and recent. If you like what you find here feel free to reach out. And if you find yourself wanting to help me achieve my goals, I'll accept whatever help you're willing to offer. I'll be posting my progress and other general thoughts as I go. The content of the blog will be generally PG to PG-13.

Most muscular pose. Posing in general is not something I'm good at. Well, I've never competed so I never taken the time to learn how to do it. All I can say is it doesn't strike me as a normal way of moving my body, and I feel awkward doing it. How do you get it to feel more natural? Just practice? Anyone ever feel self conscious doing it when they started? How do you get over it? But here we are, and it shows you the current state of where I'm at. Still lots to work on - especially my arms. I feel like my arms lag, and that my chest develops more easily. It seems like this is a common breakdown for people. If their chest is awesome their arms tend to lag, and if their arms are awesome their chest seems to lag. Arms are around 16" cold and 17" pumped. Would love to have 18" or 20" arms cold, but not sure if that's gonna be realistic.
Holy Carp - I mean Mackerel!
So yesterday I said to myself "Self, you need to start taking your bulking more seriously." So being a good self I decided to look up ideas on the Internets for cheap protein sources and happened upon an article that recommended (among other things) mackerel. It admitted that it's protein count was less than tuna, but the upshot was that it had a better flavor and less mercury. It was worth a shot, self thought. So self took me to the local grocery during my lunchbreak, and in addition to several cans of chunk tuna and chicken breast and a tub of Greek yogurt, I threw in a can of mackerel for good measure. Just one, self thought, since self had been burned before in buying something he had never tried in bulk ... So upon returning to my desk I scrounged some other ingredients together (creamcheese, mayo and parsley) and proceeded to the lunchroom with my mackerel. I was actually excited. My coworker by the way says I should start my own online cooking blog called "Kitchen cubicle"; I'm proud of my growing prestige at work as a hardcore bodybuilding meathead. Anyway self was excited until he pulled the mackerel out of the can. A nearby onlooker spoke on self's behalf: "holy f***! There's a whole fish in there!" And there it was; a fish that had been cut into 3 inch chunks in the can, bones, skin, and all. Ladies and gentlemen, a mackerel is just a code word for "giant f***ing sardine." Who knew. I knew by this point my lunch had failed, but I proceeded anyway.
