Who exactly is Y/N again??

This will be a rant about fan fiction. So, yeah.

My problem with fan fic is that it is so heavily catered to specific people. With me being a short, curvy WOC with extreamly short and dark hair, dark eyes, tattoos and piercings, it is hard for me to imagine myself in half of the fic on this sight. What is the point in writing imagine style fan fiction if the people reading it can’t see themselves as the main character?

I am so tired of putting my name to a character who is nothing like me therefore forcing me to change the perception of myself while I read. I don’t have long hair or wear short skirts. I read these stories in order to escape and see my self in these stories, but I can’t do that because every main character has light skin and long hair.

Some people may ask me “Why don’t you just ignore it?” And I do in most cases, but when the physical appearance of Y/N is constantly brought up, its hard to ignore.

My other problem is that most female leads are so fucking weak. Why can’t you make her stand up for herself? Why does she always need to be saved by the man? Some people who read fan fic want to be empowered, not submissive and meek. It makes me sad to see that some of you still have this thought that women ALWAYS need to be saved by men, who can be weaker us any day. 

This is why I started writing fan fic and started this blog. I want people to easily see themselves as Y/N and not have to change themselves in their mind just to fit the requirements of the character that is supposed to be them anyway.

And if you are one of those people that can’t help but to be specific about a character’s physical apperence, then try giving the main a name and don’t try to mold them to be Y/N. Because Y/N can be so many people at once.

Yixing probably lacks lines in EXACT because he is the busiest person in EXO. Listen to his solo songs and you’ll be all good.

Hongbin is cute and all but he just looks so basic compared to the other members of VIXX. DontHateMe
