It’s never the wrong side if you’re underneath him, right…?

Since the moment you were born, your world had been greyscale. The food you ate, the clothes you wore, the sky, the sea, and everything else that your eyes could see was white and black and all the shades in between the two.  It was completely normal.

The gift of seeing colors will only be gained when a person lock eyes with their other half. Their soulmate.

Growing up, you hear mentions of these mysterious colors; from your father getting your mother her favorite orange tulips, your older cousin buying you pink popsicles in the summer because she says they taste the best, and all the songs about feeling so, so blue.

It’s unfathomable to imagine what colors even look like when all you’ve ever known was black and white. But you were curious as to why a certain color of tulips is more beautiful than the others, why some colors can make things taste better, and why they can make people feel certain emotions.

It made you all the more excited for the day you’ll finally be able to see them.

Yoongi pants with his back resting against the peeling bark of a tree to keep his body upright. He tries not to focus on the gash along his right arm, or the currents flowing through his hands, and, instead, attempts to catch his breath and lets his eyes fade to black. He hasn’t the strength to lift his own hand to wipe away the sweat on his forehead, but when Seokjin asks him if he’s okay, he says yes anyway.

You to roll your eyes. “You know, it might actually kill you if you refuse to admit you’re in pain.”

At that, he screws his eyes shut and exhales deeply. There were few things he hated more than being injured. Most notably, being scolded by you.

Actually, it was just you in general.

“I’m fine,” he says when he reopens his eyes and sees you pulling bandages out of your backpack, “Just give me a few minutes to catch my breath.”

Hoseok lets out a sigh of exasperation and falls into a squat position between the two of you. “Yoon, your arm might as well be cut in two and your hand is still twitching. The faster you let her heal you, the faster this is all over.”

The blonde tries his best to convince him, but Yoongi only replies in short huffs. “I said I’m fine. I don’t need—ow! What the fuck was that for?” he grunts, with no second thoughts of accusing you of flicking his head.

“It wasn’t me, dipshit,” you bite.

“You really need to take a break Yoongi,”

“I’m fine,” he may be able to fool himself in to thinking he’s fine just because there isn’t any immediate struggle, his mental state was far from it. Still, didn’t stop Hoseok from barging in his office like he owned it – he only owned part of it – and demanding that Yoongi take a rest.

“no you’re not. You’re so damn bitchy all the time. Take a damn break. This isn’t a case of working hard to make it somewhere in life. You own the fucking company.”

“I’m a Partner. Not the actual owner.” Hoseok is waving his dismissal as he crosses his ankles on Yoongi’s desk.

“Same shit. You’ll be the sole partner in a few more years if you keep going at this speed. It’ll be MinKim Inc than just Kim.”

That was the goal, yes. Currently, Kim Seokjin, Yoongi’s close friend, was the heir to the corporation.
