Chapter 19: Feed Your Friendly Monsters

Lambert brings Narinder breakfast as promised, appearing to catch Narinder on the waking end of a particularly nasty nightmare. A peak into his journal is unsuccessful, but the cat enjoys the mortal joys of comfort food for the first time in millennia and the two enjoy talking normally with each other, every day and current stressors aside, it's pleasant. Heket is moved into what will now be considered the Bishop's formal home, it's only occupant until Leshy is found and/or Kallamar is rescued, in whichever order, and Lamb makes it very clear what rules are to be expected with their arrival. After Heket unintentionally gives the Lamb an idea of how she cares for her brothers, they find perhaps the frog is more somber than they thought. Lambert finds a brief repose in the snow one night and finds a cat ending his disappearing act to confront their own. They offer him an opening to be simple and soft, if only for a single moment, and he follows it.

No comic sneak peek!

Things happened, and I'm making a tiny hiatus to avoid being put off by the simple act of drawing the comic. I already have a hard time finishing tiny project, and I don't wanna play with fate on this one- Instead I'm working on the scenario with the help of my sibling! I'm also doing an illustration, because I cannot stay idle until the problem is solved. So yeah! No comic update, because there's nothing to show, but a better scenario is on the way and a cool illustration is taking shape! One last thing before I leave you to scrolling: Thank you very much for the kind reception of the comic and all your comments! It means a lot! And even tho this project is for myself and friends first, I am so happy to see you all enjoy the work of me, and my siblings (who help more then they know/wanna admit✨) Take care of yourself, and see you at the next news!

I just wanna say I love how Selki looks to be a great pyrenes! A SHEEP dog!!!

That's a good guess! Not quite there, but not far off! Salky is inspired by White Swiss Shepherd. A race of dog I particularly affectionate for two reasons: -One, they are such pretty dogs -Two, a dog I really had looked like one of those! (the picture is not a pic of her, just one of the first result when you look for White Swiss Shepard)

And if I understood well, White Swiss Shepard are also sheepdog! So yeah, the dog was a perfect fit =D I don't have a picture of my dog on me, I'll have to dig up through my stuff to get one- But she looked a lot like the dog on the picture!

But it got pretty long pretty fast- so it's gonna be cut in two or three, depending on how much time I do the drawing- Funfact of this update: On my second party of COTL, I two or three tap Baal. Aym was more of a problem, but the two cats where quickly put in baby jail.

on another note, I have started working on a really big project and I don't want to show too much before I at least get the first episode's storyboard done. the project consists of a whole bunch of animatics but they're gonna take a while since it's only me and another person working on the visual part well, all to say that I have an AU that I've been spinning in my head like a cheap meal in a microwave

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

"Twisted" Did a lil' break on the comic 'cause I had an idea! Speacking of comic, I might cute the next update in half- I can't do a full ass fight in one sitting- So you can expect an update soon! See ya later =D

At first it wasn't planed, but I thought it would be hilarious to have Lamb surrounding themself by cats. The only one missing is Narinder, but not for long. So yeah, Lamb is a cat person✨until the said cat try to kill them

The Rehabilitation of Death Chapter 18: Divine Hangovers, and Other Intense Feelings.

After a drunken night they can hardly half remember, Lambert wakes up alone with a miserable headache, a destroyed room, a partially destroyed cult, and another assassination attempt from the God of Death who's battling an emotional crisis while they're currently battling the worst hangover of their life.

The damage in the morning becomes clearer, as well as its consequences. Narinder's emotional outburst leads to mixed signals, eating something without it rotting-much to the Lamb's delight-an encounter with a dog disciple who doesn't seem fond of the cat, and a promise of something valuable to the Lamb just to get them to eat something.

The Menticide Mushroom problem is fully known now, having almost taken a victim during the festivities prompting an investigation on who's smuggling the contraband into the cult. Leshy and his 'caretaker' are missing, and in an attempt to search for them, leads to another small discovery of consequences from the last night. A death is sensed, and pestilence is coming over the horizon.

Both Narinder and Lambert begin to act strange, think the other is the one acting strange, and maybe closeness is starting to become a little bit too common between them.
