i'm so glad goncharov happened when it did, right before prolific public use of AI. that was pure honest gaslighting straight from the heart. real human whimsicality and trickery thru blood sweat and tears. we were a family. and we all gonched, together. you cant replicate that with any machine.

And after a while you just stop. You stop watering your plants. You stop watching netflix. You stop reading. You stop replying to your friends as fast as you used to. You stop buying yourself nice things. You stop putting an effort into how you look. You stop taking care of yourself like you used to. You stop sleeping. You stop eating healthy foods. You stop petting your dog. You stop socializing.

You stop with everything. You find yourself sitting in your room for hours on end, without doing a single thing. Days feel like years. And you think you can’t do it for much longer.

must a piece of media be “good?” is it not enough to first encounter it aged thirteen and have your brain completely rewired forever?

it's very frustrating that when you do something mature---something that really demonstrates how much you've grown as a human being and adult---no full orchestra immediately appears in your kitchen to play verdi's triumphal march and/or an arrangement of tina turner's "the best" at top volume.

Hypervigilance, depression, anxiety, ptsd and pretty much any other mental illness can cause fatigue.

So if you’re mentally ill and feel tired and low on energy - that is not because you are lazy, it is probably because your brain and your body have been working hard fighting for you.

The struggle you’re having is real, and don’t let anyone (yourself included) invalidate it by calling you lazy.

"actually the imperialist state propaganda machine didn't teach me about this and I don't plan on doing anything to rectify that" really isn't something I'd go around advertising, personally

The phrase "Iran-backed" is meant to manufacture your consent for more US-backed destruction. It evokes a boogey-man the US has has spent 50 years creating. It is meant to convince you that there are no real-people in Yemen or Lebanon or Iraq. That all the people being murdered…

According to the genocide convention, every country in the world should be doing what Iran is doing

Currently obsessed with these naturalistic illuminations from a manuscript of De Proprietatibus Rerum (1447, Bibliothèque d'Amiens, ms. 399). I just know that whoever commisioned this must have hired the nearest autistic artist with an insane obsession for birds before proper birdwatching was even a thing. They hired the nearest De arte venandi cum avibus fanboy.

Like, the fact that despite the stylized drawings you can clearly tell that these are a corvus corax, a corvus cornix and a corvus corone?! Hello?!?!

I love you, unknown french artist from the 15th century.

I'm slowly converting my friends to my ways of old women hobbies. I embroider. My friend knits. My other friend sews. Once the third friend's arm heals it's over for them. They cannot run. They cannot hide. Crocheting is coming for them. Crocheting is coming.
