/rp i wanna talk about tommy's relationship to stealing. cus i think that to understand his character you need to take into consideration his perspective on theft.
firstly, tommy is not a character who respects the notion of "rightful ownership". even if he knows it's not allowed, he views stealing itself as an entirely morally neutral act. and i think you could make the case that at the core of his theft is an ideology of "if you need something, you're entitled to it". you'll notice that when he steals, he usually doesn't take things he doesn't actually need. and he is not a character who hoards resources that he has no use for, he's never really strived for any sort of wealth, especially not excessive wealth.
now, this is not to say he's some sort of über-humble robin hood-esque "steal from the rich give to the poor" type character, because he's not. he's moreso a "steals what he needs from whoever has it" type character, if he feels like he has more use for it than them.
and he does value utility. this has come to forefront especially recently, he reasons that if something doesn't serve a purpose, there's no need for it. things are meant to be used after all. and this is for example how he justifies tearing down buildings and structures that nobody uses anymore, even if they aren't his own. of course, this ideology may clash with others', not only because not everyone values utility in the same way he does, but also because certain things might have utility that he doesn't recognize. (but in regards to tearing buildings down i won't delve much more into it as it might start to blur the line between characters and streamers.)
i wanna touch a bit on the disc wars as well on this topic. you'll notice that tommy says "the discs" more often than "my discs" his pursuit of the discs has never actually been motivated by the notion that they're "actually his", because again, he's not a character who values the concept of "rightful ownership" particularly highly. he pursues the discs, because one, the only reason dream wants them is for the sake of more power over tommy, and tommy wants to take that power away.
but also, two, tommy actually plays the discs. he uses them. they not only have sentimental and emotional value to him, but also they serve a functional, practical purpose. discs are meant to be played. and when has dream ever sat down to play to the discs, only for the sake of listening to them?

"Book" is a system that has limited pages you can put your stuff into. But it has pages on every Item you ever put in there
It has information on each item and an explanation of its history. Or just personal notes you can note down.
The book can be decorated however you want it. Pages can be ripped out and will reappear back

The Idaho Senate approved a bill this week that would permit the state to hire contractors to kill up to 90 percent of Idaho’s wolves with the goal, supporters said, of protecting cattle and other agricultural interests.
“These wolves, there’s too many in the state of Idaho,” State Senator Mark Harris, a Republican, said on the Senate floor before the vote on Wednesday, after telling a story about a “gentleman rancher” whose livelihood was jeopardized when a pack of wolves scared off his cattle.
Idaho’s Wolf Conservation and Management plan calls for the state to maintain a wolf population of at least 150 wolves. At last count, Mr. Harris said, 1,556 wolves were roaming the state.
“They’re destroying ranchers; they’re destroying wildlife,” he said.
The bill would give the state’s Wolf Control Fund an additional $190,000 to hire contractors to kill wolves — on top of $400,000 previously allocated toward killing wolves in Idaho. The bill also would remove a limit on the number of wolves a hunter is permitted to kill.
The Senate approved the bill in a 26-7 vote on Wednesday. The measure now goes to the State House of Representatives. The office of Governor Brad Little, a Republican, declined to say whether he planned to sign the bill. Last year Mr. Little signed another bill boosting funds for the killing of wolves.
Backers of the bill said that wolves also reduce the numbers of deer and elk available to hunters, taking an additional economic toll on the state. Some lawmakers disputed that hiring contractors would drive the wolf population down to just 150, while others referenced the 150 figure as if were the goal.

a dream smp au, where everyone has powers
i’ve been working on this along with @jadeace115 (can also find them on @slimesidian, with my other friend germ) basically, most people in this universe are born with powers, and some are just born normal. (yes, we know, very similar to bnha, this wasn’t intentional) but, tommy always thought he had no powers, and all his life was ridiculed and bullied for being a simple kid. turns out being struck by lightning unleashed something in him. THIS IS NOT A SHIP THING. PLEASE DONT ADD SHIPS TO THIS I WILL THROW ROCKS AT YOU IF YOU DO. (feel free to send me asks on this, i check my inbox pretty often)
