Story time!
I work at a hotel reception, and in May, we had a guest staying with us who works in event organising. He was lovely, and we would chat every day when he got back. I mentioned going on holidays and he asked where and I was going to see Rammstein in Dublin. He was like "Oh! You're Rammstein fan! I worked with them" My brain went HUH?? Yes, he did work with them when they played in South Afrika..2011 I believe.. He mentioned being blown away by them and was impressed by Mein Teil, especially. I didn't ask him questions but he started referring to me as "Rammstein girl" since I dont particularly look "metal" and one time, my co-worker who has no filter said to him "she wants to shag 3 of them" and he replied "she wants their babies!" Probably one of the most embarrassing moments of my life!! Jfc....
Anyway, today he came back and was with a colleague and said to him "She likes Rammstein. You like it too, right?" And the other guy says "oh yeah.. had a dinner where (he either said I'm from or he's from, cant remember) with Till Lindeman and he started eating glass, just put it in his mouth" and I'm like ".....yeah, that's something he would do" and then I remembered - correct me if I'm wrong - there is a story about Till eating glass..
So yeah, my little encounter. I doubt I'll see the guy again since I'm off on holiday again, and he's only staying for a few days this time.

Thank you for sharing your little friendly encounter! Things like these are always interesting to read. And understandable, 'Mein Teil' really is one of those rammstein-esque performances which are so fascinating and a one of a kind moment in their shows, eventhough us fans are probably used to it by now 😅 (And ass someone who also doesn't look particularly 'metal', I know how you feel 😌). I did some little digging, and well, Till eating glasses is a thing which is mentioned several times throughout interviews, notably in this well-known interview with Paul in 2006:
So yes, there is a possibility that the accounts of the person you met are true 🍷

Remember how in Klagenfurt 1 Till was teasing Paul with the 'zu klein' in Pussy, and then cracking up at Paul getting all offended ("sorry Paul" 😄)? Well on Klagenfurt 2 Till is being more subtle...
He starts the song as usual, mimicking so the audience knows what to sing, but at the 'Zu groß, zu klein' without singing points to Olli next to him, and then at Paul next to Olli, making sure no one can mistake the gesture 😊
Paul is like "Why is it always me' then watches along the line seeing that Richard had walked off and is leaning against the back taking a breather, Paul decides "well if he can walk off, so can I" 😊
