The Sun came up, but the curtains remained closed. It must’ve been late morning and staying in bed this late had to have been a problem but after a week of being holed up in here, the cozy darkness and the luxuriantly warm sheets felt safe. The only times your anxiety returned was when faint noises sounded on the other side of the wall. The noises weren’t loud or obtrusive by any means. In fact, the only reason you noticed them at all was that at first all your mind was completely trained towards them, ears waiting for them.
