no, YOUR persona 5 protagonist is a self-insert. MY persona 5 protagonist is a high school boy traumatised from being charged for a crime he did not commit, opting to take on different aspects of his personality depending on who he's around, imprisoning his "true" self as a result of the belief that no one will accept all of him, only the part they can see and like in him, so he instead offers himself up as a blank sheet of paper for others to draw whatever image or idea of him they have in their mind.
