The current wave of anti LGBT violence very explicitly hinges on online outrage, and we should know better than to play into it. It doesn't matter who you are or who your target audience is--you need to learn to bite your tongue and just keep scrolling when you see something you don't like. Stop sharing screenshots of that gay guy who posts about his crazy sex parties, that drag queen you think looks busted, that trans person you think is "cringe," all of it. I know many of us like to take lighthearted (and sometimes not so lighthearted) jabs at each other for a laugh, but especially in today's political climate you cannot provoke outrage about LGBT people without it getting out of hand. If you think you can delineate between the good ones and the bad ones, you will quickly yourself on the wrong side of that line.
