nothing makes me angrier than a homophobe outright denying a canon/implied queer ship. this ALWAYS happens when i join a fandom and it ALWAYS pisses me off. i’ve seen people literally deny ALPHYNE, SUSELLE, AND JACK X NURM. “jack and nurm are just friends!” buddy they call each other pet names, think of each other as their other half (which btw, ppl call their HUSBANDS, WIVES, AND SIGNIFICANT OTHERS THEIR OTHER HALF), and much more. if you chose lluna over nurm (fuck you if you did), you can see how upset jack gets. my guy literally yells at a LLAMA. i swear if telltales had been allowed to add romance to the game, jack would’ve immediately kiss nurm when they reunite after nurm gets back from the prison. AND DENYING ALPHYNE AND SUSELLE. ALPHYNE AND SUSELLE. denying jack x nurm was already a stretch but i guess homophobes love stretching racks because that is insane. YOU LITERALLY NEED TO GET ALPHYS AND UNDYNE TOGETHER IN ORDER TO GET THE BEST ENDING POSSIBLE IN UNDERTALE. EVEN IF YOU DONT DO PACIFIST METTATON TELLS YOU THAT ALPHYS HAS A CRUSH ON UNDYNE. EVEN IF YOU DONT DO PACIFIST AND NEUTRAL, ALPHYS IS IMPLIED TO COMMIT SEWERSLIDE WHEN UNDYNE DIES IN GENOCIDE. THEY KISSED IN THE CREDITS OF PACIFIST. THEY FUCKING KISSED. and the fact that people say that suselle won’t be canon bc “susie doesn't/will not like noelle back” makes me genuinely tweak. TOBY FOX WOULDNT HAVE MADE ONE OF THE BEST if not THE BEST CUTSCENE OF A VIDEO GAME SHIP IVE EVER SEEN JUST TO NOT MAKE THE SHIP CANON. “i guess i got comfortable” “me too” TELL ME THIS DOESNT SCREAM YURI TO YOU I DARE YOU. btw im pretty sure susie likes noelle, she just doesn’t know it. there are a few lines in the game where susie thinks of noelle even if nothing around her or what she’s doing relate to noelle. and im pretty sure noelle giving susie her pencil to her made susie at the very least a little bit fond of her. susie probably doesn’t realize she likes noelle because she isn’t used to love/admiration. i mean, she acted weirdly when lancer showed admiration towards her in chapter one. even if she doesn’t like noelle now, i can guarantee that there will be more scenes that will further develop susie and noelle’s relationship. AND THIS IS JUST THREE SHIPS, THREE SHIPS. there’s a lot of ships that get treated this way (wrightworth, lumity, creek, etc.) sure, you don’t have to ship them, there are a lot of canon/implied ships i’m not too fond of, but denying it is crazy. i swear if the queer ships that get treated this way were straight, everyone would adore the ship.
