I feel like in the mafia AU, Sammy's parents would be low level gang members who were raising/training Sammy to own the business in the future and make it bigger but Sammy ran away when he was about 18.

Because he had some connections thanks to his family, he stayed at the houses of gang members that were on the nicer side till he had enough money to get his own place. A lot of the time the person he was staying with would ask him to help with deals because he was a great talker.

One of these deals was with Jemma's adopted parents, and they took a liking to Sammy and invited him to dinner. While there, Sammy met Jemma and they got to know each other. Jemma felt sorry for Sammy's situation (because it reminded her a lot of her own life) and offered to let Sammy stay with her and Azren.

Fast forward a few months, Jemma and Azren have claimed Sammy as their child and put his birth parents in jail :3c

So here’s what jemma looks like in the mafia bug au (also why she’s glaring in the picture is because someone was talking bad about azren and Sammy and she got protective)

So in this au jemma was still experiment on by scientists and her mother was actually sold to the scientists by her family while pregnant with jemma and her biological father in this au is a mafia boss and is kinda of jerk after finding out about that jemma’s mother was pregnant and while she was experimented on she actually kill most of the scientists and ran and that’s were she was adopted by her adoptive mothers who are both mafia boss and they actually train her and her adoptive big sister to be strong and defend themselves and when she got older she meet the bug army and met azren and Sammy who she’s protective of
