You know what, I don’t want to do this anymore. I don’t want to worry if I’m doing the “wrong thing” or spreading misinformation whenever I reblog a post about all this. I love nevermore so so much and it has been so much to me for so long. I don’t want to leave it because of some shitty people. I don’t care if anyone gets mad at me for this but I’m going to continue to post nevermore content and be apart of the fandom. I know that RnF have made a lot of mistakes and that their apology was anything but perfect but I’m going to try to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that we as a fandom are able to heal from this.

I’m going to be leaving all of the nevermore related discord servers I’m in (not that I was very active in the first place) but the community on Tumblr holds a special place in my heart, and I want to remain apart of it.

Thank you for listening to my ramble, I hope you guys will respect my decision, I know it’s not that big of a deal but I’ve been pretty stressed about it so I figured I should put out some kind of public announcement.

How i draw Lenore hair plz help

Cuz in some panels its luke oh easy then others its like "THAT WASNT THERE BEFORE????"

One of the most out-of-the-blue hc's I have about this comic is that Annabel has a ridiculous amount of maritime knowledge learned against her will just by being dragged into her father's work and because Ira never stops talking about boats.

Like, I see Ira taking mini-Annabel along with him when he was supposed to have conversations regarding the transport of goods or with the nautical staff.

Because of that, Annabel is excellent at the card/dice games popular among 19th century sailors, knows (in theory) how to handle a rudder or hoist a sail, can tie about 8 different types of knots, knows insults that "should never come out of a lady's mouth" and can sing sea chanties like a true British sailor.

She will absolutely hate this fact.

Absolutly cracking my knuckles getting out as many asks as I can. Sorry it took forever, y'all. I'll dish out an update on a new, seperate post.

Anyways, Annabel Lee. My God, she can be funny when you think about her often, and this is one of those moments.

I love the idea that she knows how to do all these things because of her father's hyperfixations; really, it's the equivalent to a modern-day father raising his girl up to know the entire Queen or Metallica discography by heart.

Anyways, I'd like to imagine Lenore slowly piecing together how Annabel Lee knows all these things — maybe Annabel Lee recalls the first time she won a game, or she hums a tune known only by sailors, or she finds some reason to tie a knot and Lenore is left a very puzzled woman. How does Annabel Lee of all people know how to tie that knot? That knot, specifically meant for boats?

Or, Ira loves telling stories of Annabel Lee on boats to Leo at the dinner table, and Annabel hates it. She'd cover her ears if she could. I find that more believable.
