I was in a really bad mood (again 🙄) so I sat myself down and was like, listen up. Instead of stewing in this hatred, you're gonna do something. You're going to read. So I did. I opened up AO3 and let myself be swept away by a few short fics and by longer WIPs. Guess what happened? My mood improved.

happy pride month ! consider helping a disabled queer person save up to leave their abusive home

as some of you already know, my current living arrangement is not sustainable or safe. i was recently shoved down the stairs by my abusive younger brother. i’ve been dealing with an ankle that i can’t put much weight on and severe bruising all over my body, but specifically in my rib cage. it hurts to move, cough, and even breathe. 

this isn’t the first instance of violence that i’ve had to deal with. if my brother has a bad day or is in a bad mood, he will take it out on me. my family completely enables his behavior and i can’t continue living like this. it’s to the point that i’ve been isolating myself in my room and only leaving when absolutely necessary.

all of this is on top of my chronic pain and recurring cysts, both of which inhibit my ability to find work with proper accommodations. my only source of income at the moment is selling art, which isn’t sustainable with how infrequently i get commissioned. 

i have a friend who is looking for someone to move in when their roommate leaves, but that isn’t until september. i’ve explained my current situation to them and they’ve agreed to let me only pay a quarter of the rent, which is roughly $250/month. i’ll also need to buy my own groceries. and i’ll have to pay for my own transportation to and from places until i can afford a car. i’m fortunate enough to have somewhere to go, i just need to be able to afford to live there. if anyone could spare even a few dollars, it would mean the world to me ! you can also commission me if you’re interested, i’ll leave the link below. and if you still want to support me but aren’t able to monetarily, please reblog this post and spread the word !!
