keep seeing threads on Reddit that’s like “how would u improve tdpi” and everyone replies with “oh remove Rodney’s gimmick and make him fall in love with JASMINE only” uhmmmm no make him fall ass over heels for SCARLETT instead because a) Scarlett needs to make a more positive impact on the cast so her villain arc is more of an oh shit moment, b) could foreshadow that shit in Rodney’s first appearance when he notes how smart she is, 3) it would be funny bc Scarlett can just fully analyse other ppl like an open book except when it comes to ppl crushing on her so Rodney’s blushing at her n shit n she’s like ‘??? Are you having a cerebrovascular accident???’ d) less cringe then scax (think about it) and Scarlett’s like ‘teehee now IVE got a sidekick >:) e) this only works partially bc Rodney’s a dumbass, 10) Rodney cannot string a sentence together around women and Scarlett can not use less that 57 syllables in a sentence, therefore, Rodney tries to become more verbose and fails, j) ginger solidarity 🤝

YEARNING: this au/hc I have about courtney and emma being childhood rivals turned best friends turned to. whatever this is.

I'm writing a little something for this au right now and I don't want to spoil it too much. but I'll spare some details on how their friendship formed, plus other hcs that apply to this au:

courtney and emma are the top students at every school they've attended, which caused them to butt heads the first time they met

in middle school, however, they were both beaten by a different kid in their annual quiz bee- in which they were both mutually outraged by. they decided to put their differences aside to get to the bottom of if the game was rigged or not (it was)

it made them realized they weren't so different and even balanced each other out- with emma being more level-headed, patient, and passive while courtney was more impulsive, assertive and risk-taking, which they both respected each other for

they became inseparable since, and are closest to each other more than anyone else, and encouraging the other at a constant to become better

high school comes sometime later and emma is first to become aware of her feelings for courtney as she's realized that she's bi, and is out to both courtney and her family. courtney, however, is in denial of her own feelings and has yet to come to terms with her own sexuality

emma is chinese-filipino, her full name being emily "emma" grace liu

courtney is venezuelan-filipino, her full name being courtney sofia perdomo-de guzman

they're both bi, but realize this at different stages in their life

they should have made lindsay the Gwen of Action because a) she had something to prove that she could get far without Heather and b) she canonically cleared Heather’s ass when she was eliminated and if there was anyone who’d drag Heather with her words it’d be her ex minion. ‘hannah don’t be mad at me because you’re wearing that tired fred flintstone wig and Mr. Coconut has more friends than you do’. ‘just because a guy likes you doesn’t mean he’s fake, it means he didn’t watch the show back.’ ‘I don’t believe beth has a fake relationship since she doesn’t talk to Heather anymore.’ Lindsay was determined to prove herself and we all saw she had that fire up inside her to get someone all the way together and win the game and she had an amazing social game and it would’ve been an arc for her that wasn’t just centered on her friendship with beth from minion who everyone thought was dumb as a rock to a finalist who helped lead her team and took charge and learned from her mistakes first time around and the sweetest part of it all is whether Lindsay’d care or not Heather would *have* to respect her.
