Fuck Tumblr ISTG, do they really think people are gonna pay to read? No matter how much a love a creator there is no way I’d pay for it and being a creator myself I’d never ask others to pay to read my work simply because I think it’s ridiculous.

Also I think Tumblr has changed because I’m not saying porn was the best thing ever but since the ban lots of people have gone elsewhere. Tumblr used to say we could post whatever we liked and I think that’s what grabbed people because there used to be very little to no guidelines but now there’s guidelines on what we can post so again people are leaving and going elsewhere. I myself don’t plan to leave however I do know that this website has changed.

I just saw the post about Tumblr Plus and I can't believe that's even a thing. I've been on Tumblr for 10 years and I'd have to say that for the last 5 years it isn't even what it used to be. The porn ban drove so many people away already and now they have the nerve to allow people to charge for posts? This is a dying platform- which sucks because it's the only place I like finding fanfic but so many creators have either stopped posting all together because they get no engagement on their posts or switched to other websites- and adding a monetary aspect is not only gonna cause more people to leave but probably also cause a lot of creators to lose their following. Even if I really enjoyed someone's content on here, I wouldn't pay for it because I know a percentage of that money is going to Tumblr and I'm not trying to fund their nonsense when they don't even listen to their users and hardly deliver a platform that's worth using period, let alone one worth paying to use.

Absolutely! I joined in 2012 or 2013, and since then it feels like it’s changed a lot, especially since the porn ban, like even when I wasn’t on nsfw tumblr it came across my dash every now and then. I do feel like people have withdrawn a lot since I first joined back then, and with them implementing a way for people to put their posts behind a pay wall, I feel like it’s going to change the whole vibe of this site even more
