it took me a very, very long time to realize love isn’t supposed to hurt. when all we’ve ever known is discomfort, the signals get mixed up. just because we’re used to it doesn’t mean right. it shouldn’t grate or chafe or grind you down. it shouldn’t be heavy. this is supposed to be easy.
