What Is Century Park, and Why Have I Been Seeing 500 Posts About It On My Dash? Also Why Is It Trending???

Hey! I'm Cody, and I'm making a cartoon called Century Park.

Today the cast and crew decided to post a ton of stuff about it to raise awareness and try to get trending. And while we may not have gotten trending (curse you, Taylor Swift and Brooklyn 99!!!) we definitely did raise awareness.

Actually, while writing this post we started trending at #6!!!! YAY!!!

Century Park follows two teenagers, Echo and Molly, after they accidentally fall through a portal to another world called Faeria and help fight in a rebellion against the reigning tyrant. Along the way, they meet some new friends, like Felix, a trans 13 year old who controls shadow and light; Axel, a mage who's kept himself 10 years old for a decade and a half; Oliviera, who led the first rebellion 15 years ago and restarts it again now; Lexa, Oliviera's wife who loves challah and adopts thousands of children; Robin, a mysterious rogue; and Forrest, a chaotic 11 year old, for starters. Together they learn some life lessons, laugh, cry, form a found family, be gay do crimes, uncover repressed trauma, gain some new trauma, and teach some people who believe they're unlovable that they matter. It's all very fun.

We also have a lot of queer characters, disabled characters, muslim/hijabi/niqabi characters, Jewish characters, characters of color, etc. Which is stuff that our crew wished we could've seen growing up, or seen more often now in cartoons, which is also pretty cool.

You can also voice act! You can do that by dm'ing @centurypark or by filling out the application above. We need a few more of these, and we really need an Indigenous VA to voice our main character, Echo.

here's a fun story!

once upon a time i proposed a character who i will not go into detail about. at one point before they were named someone goes "oh they sound like a ________ robin hood." we then proceeded to refer to them as "robin hood" to tell who we were talking about and then as "robin" for shorthand and....... now that's just their name. we're so professional

hello! I really REALLY want to apply as an animator but I'm not really good at it yet and I also don't have any examples of my work right now. Can I apply as an artist (which is also something I think I could do, I just understood that you need animators more?) and then later possibly switch to an animator? Or should I apply as an animator and send examples eventually, or just apply as an artist and stay that? Do you still need those? I'm sorry if you already said it somewhere, I'm terrible at remembering things

Yes, you're definitely allowed to do that! A lot of our storyboarders/animators are doing art now anyway since we're not animating quite yet.
